Girls on the Run teams located in Orange, Dutchess and Ulster counties will join us at the GOTR 5K North on Sunday, June 2nd at LEGOLAND New York Resort in Goshen. Participants should plan to arrive by 7AM to allow enough time to park and prepare. The run will begin at 8:00AM.

- Running Buddies: Every girl needs to have a registered Running Buddy to accompany her on race day. A Running Buddy is any trusted adult 16+, who can run/walk alongside their girl and cheer her on through this day of accomplishment. A running buddy can be a parent, grandparent, uncle, teacher, family, friend, favorite babysitter - anyone 16+ your girl knows and trusts!
- Community Runners: Our 5k is open to all! We invite all runners and walkers to join us for the 5k. Ask other family members, siblings and friends to join us also!
All Running Buddies, parents and friends running the 5k must register. GOTR participants and coaches are automatically registered for the 5k!
Wave Assignments will be announced in May. The Spring 2024 event will have up to 4 start waves. The first wave of runners will start at 8AM, with additional waves starting every 5 minutes. Check back for your teams assigned wave!
Community Runners not affiliated with a GOTR team should plan to start in the first wave.
The 5k course is two loops throughout the LEGOLAND Amusement Park. The 5k will start and finish in the UPPER parking lot. Runners will leave the upper parking lot and head into the park weaving through Miniland, Lego City, Ninjago World. When they arrive in Bricktopia, water stations will be setup and runners will be directed back into Miniland for the second loop. All runners will finish back in the upper parking lot where spectators will be cheering. Course map coming soon!
Free Parking will be available at LEGOLAND New York Resort till 11AM.
This is an important day for our girls and the 5K will be held rain or shine. Ultimately, we invite you to make the best decision for you and your participant. Should outside conditions become unsafe, we will notify participants through email and social media as soon as possible, and you can also visit our Facebook page for updates.
This is a non-competitive event and we encourage all runners to go their “happy pace.” To keep the course clear for all, we ask slower runners and walkers to stay to the right, leaving room for other runners to pass.
Pets are not allowed on the run course or in the start/finish areas. We have a large number of youth attending our event, for everyone's safety, please leave pets at home.
Check back mid-April for our Spring event guide.
Be sure to tell all your friends and colleagues that you are participating in the GOTR 5K! Additionally, be sure to become a fan of GOTR Hudson Valley on Facebook and Instagram to keep up to date with all the important details.
