Accomplishment

Each season comes to an end with a celebratory 5K. This closing event gives program participants of all abilities a tangible sense of accomplishment. Crossing the finish line instills confidence through completion and is a joyful moment program participants always remember! Girls on the Run teams from the Hudson Valley will come together for a celebratory, non-competitive 5K. The GOTR 5K is open to the community and welcomes all levels and abilities. Our event is NOT a race. Its a celebration of everyone's accomplishments and a perfect 5K to set a goal to work towards! Great place to make memories with your friends and family, or a solo gratitude moment!

REGISTRATION

Every girl must have a registered 5K Buddy to accompany her on race day. A 5K Buddy is any trusted adult 16+, who can run/walk alongside their girl and cheer her on through this day of accomplishment. All 5K Buddies, parents and friends participating in the 5K must register. The registration fee is $25 until November 3rd, $30 November 4th - November 17th and $35 on race day. Register here! Registration is open to the public. GOTR participants and coaches are automatically registered for the 5K!

EVERYONE is invited to participate! So sign up the whole family and be active together.

Your race entry is not refundable. Just like a concert ticket or sporting event, your race entry is not refundable. You can transfer your entry to a friend. Thanks for understanding!

Volunteers make our 5K celebration possible! Below are some of the things we could use help with:

  • ROUTE RALLIERS: Help cheer on and encourage participants at various locations along the race route as they walk/run their 5K! Cowbells and pom-poms provided!
  • FINISH LINE SUPPORT: Stationed at the end of the race, you will cheer on the finishers, offer a high-five, and/or provide replenishment after participants cross the finish line!
  • HYDRATION STATION: Enjoy your time handing out water at the half way point on the course to keep our participants hydrated and happy!
  • REGISTRATION: Distribute race bibs and event t-shirts to pre-registered runners. This is a great role if you want to participate in the 5K too!
  • PHOTOGRAPHER: Share your talent and capture the joy at photo booths, start/finish line and along the course!
